Volleyball Recap: Lakewood Takes a Loss

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jackrabbits this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-13.

Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Long Beach Poly, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-8 record this season.

Lakewood and Long Beach Poly will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Lancers see the court they'll take on Jordan at 5:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Long Beach Poly, their break will end when they face Cabrillo at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st.
