Football Game Preview: Wilson-Henryetta Tigers vs. Webbers Falls Warriors

For the first time this season, Wilson-Henryetta will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to take on the Webbers Falls Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Back in September, Wilson-Henryetta was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 88-84 to Savanna. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Webbers Falls scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 72-68 to Savanna. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (44), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Wilson-Henryetta will need to focus on slowing down Austin Barger, one of several Webbers Falls players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 132 yards and three scores on only seven carries, and also picked up 95 receiving yards and one TD. Brutus Robinson was another key player, rushing for 127 yards and three touchdowns.

Webbers Falls' loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Wilson-Henryetta, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Wilson-Henryetta against Webbers Falls in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 46-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
