Softball Recap: University Hawks vs. Varsity Opponent

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask University). Everything went their way against Varsity Opponent on Thursday as they made off with a 23-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hawks considering their two-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Whitney Cox, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Maddie Campbell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with five RBI and two runs.

University always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
