Softball Game Preview: ED White Commanders vs. Eagle's View Warriors

ED White hasn't had much luck against Eagle's View recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. ED White will square off against Eagle's View at 6:00 p.m. ED White has given up an average of 14.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

ED White is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 11-6 to Hamilton County.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eagle's View, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Cedar Creek Christian a 21-0 shutout on Monday. With that win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Savana Clifton and Raghan Beckham made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Clifton struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Beckham pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. At the plate, Clifton scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Beckham got on base in all three of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Beckham a new career-high.

In other batting news, Eagle's View got a big performance out of Havana Gonzalez, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Emma Foley was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Eagle's View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .897. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Eagle's View's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-7. As for ED White, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

ED White suffered a grim 17-7 defeat to Eagle's View in their previous meeting back in February. Can ED White avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
