Softball Recap: South Columbus Comes Up Short

South Columbus was the 13-1 winner over Whiteville when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Stallions fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday.

South Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Whiteville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

While South Columbus had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
