Baseball Recap: Lewis County Find Success

While Lewis County's victory against Hampshire wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers won by a run and slipped past the Hawks 4-3. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lewis County's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Whitlow, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Lewis County now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Hampshire, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-8.

Coming up, Lewis County will face off against Loretto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. Hampshire does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
