Football Recap: Pacheco Panthers vs. Lathrop Spartans
Pacheco lost against Lathrop back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pacheco Panthers took a 28-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lathrop Spartans.
Pacheco wouldn't let Lathrop keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Pacheco can thank Rafael Vargas Hernandez and Jonathan Munoz for forcing both of them. Munoz also set a new season high mark in total tackles with nine.
Pacheco's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lathrop, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.
Pacheco will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Johansen at 7:00 p.m. on October 4th. Lathrop also won't see the field for a while: their next contestis against Ceres at 7:00 p.m. on October 4th.
