Softball Recap: Groveport-Madison Comes Up Short

The matchup between Groveport-Madison and Canal Winchester on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. Groveport-Madison fell just short of Canal Winchester by a score of 17-16. The Cruisers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Groveport-Madison dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Canal Winchester, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Groveport-Madison will challenge Whetstone at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Canal Winchester, they will square off against Reynoldsburg at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
