Volleyball Recap: Holmes Takes a Loss

Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hallettsville Brahmas.

Taylor Williams paced Holmes' offense, picking up four kills. Williams got some help from Ailana Soriano and her four assists. Jaylee Ramirez controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Holmes' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Hallettsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Holmes has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Bandera on the 23rd. As for Hallettsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Cole on the 22nd.
