Everything went their way against The Carmel School Wildcats on Saturday as the McDonogh Eagles made off with a 75-55 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 30th in Maryland, while the Wildcats are ranked 121st in Virginia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
McDonogh's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Robert Moore led the charge by going 6 for 14 on his way to 15 points and four steals. Carlos Ferguson was another key player, going 7 of 11 on his way to 16 points.
