Volleyball Game Preview: St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings vs. Lakeview Academy Lions

The St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings will face off against the Lakeview Academy Lions at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Anne-Pacelli has three straight victories, Lakeview Academy has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

St. Anne-Pacelli proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past East Coweta 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since August 28th.

St. Anne-Pacelli was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (101-94), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-20, 25-19, 13-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Lakeview Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Athens Christian last Thursday and fell 3-2.

Lakeview Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, their win bumped their record up to 29-9.
