Softball Recap: East Webster Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East Webster had no problem doing just that on Friday. They didn't even let the Charleston Tigers on the board, marking their second-straight 15-0 shutout. Considering the Wolverines have won 14 contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for East Webster, bringing their record up to 18-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Charleston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: East Webster beat the Tigers by a score of 15-0 later that day.
