Benton faced Baptist Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Bella Gonzalez paced Benton's offense, picking up six kills. Gonzalez got some help from Lexi Eidt and her six assists.

Baptist Prep's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla Midkiff, who had nine digs and two assists.

Benton's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Baptist Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7-1.

Benton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Shiloh Christian on the 11th. As for Baptist Prep, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Mount St. Mary Academy on the 13th.
