Recap: Dawson Eagles vs. Shadow Creek Sharks
After a string of 13 wins, the Dawson Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. Their tough 70-49 loss to Shadow Creek might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Dawson has suffered since November 27, 2023.
Despite the loss, Dawson still got an impressive performance from Charles Anderson, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braylon Howard, who scored 11 points.
Dawson's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-7. As for Shadow Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season.
Dawson will look to defend their home court on Friday against Alvin at 7:00 p.m. As for Shadow Creek, they will head out on the road to take on Strake Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Strake Jesuit will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 385th, while Shadow Creek is ranked 13th).
