The New Hope Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Corinth Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (New Hope has five straight victories, Corinth has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
New Hope is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Clarksdale 24-0 on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Trojans with their most commanding win of the season.
Kaselyn Harcrow was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jeoreia Henry, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Harper Minton also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
New Hope always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .844. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Corinth lost 10-3 to Lafayette on Thursday.
Addyson Moore was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinley Pittman, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
New Hope's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Corinth, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
New Hope was able to grind out a solid win over Corinth in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Hope since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
