Recap: New Lexington Panthers vs. Morgan Raiders
In what's become a running theme this season, the New Lexington Panthers gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They blew past Morgan, posting a 62-20 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for New Lexington who now have five in a row.
New Lexington was led to victory by Makenzy McCoy and Chloe Dick. McCoy scored 24 points along with five steals, while Dick dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. McCoy continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Abby Wilson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
New Lexington has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Morgan, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.
New Lexington will head out on the road to face off against West Muskingum at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. New Lexington has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 302 points over their last five matchups. As for Morgan, they will be playing at home against Meadowbrook at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Morgan is coming into the game with eight straight losses at home, meaning Meadowbrook will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
