Baseball Recap: Baboquivari Victorious

After losing to Duncan the last time they met, Baboquivari decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildkats on Friday, sneaking past 13-12. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Jesse Buendia was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Baboquivari's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 3-8 when he doesn't). Ezekiel Hendricks was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Baboquivari's record now sits at 6-9. As for Duncan, they moved to 10-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Baboquivari does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Duncan, they will venture away from home to challenge Ray at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. The Bearcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wildkats surely won't give up without a fight.
