Baseball Recap: Marietta Gets the Win

On Wednesday, the Marietta Blue Devils beat the Alexander Cougars 8-5.

Marietta now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Alexander, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Marietta will take on Carrollton at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday. Carrollton's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Marietta's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Alexander, they will head out on the road to square off against Lassiter at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
