Kaplan won the last time they faced Lafayette Christian Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Kaplan Pirates had just enough and edged out the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights 7-5.

Kaplan's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Looking ahead, Kaplan will venture away from home to challenge Erath at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Erath will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Kaplan surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, they have already played their next contest, a 7-2 win against Central on the 17th.
