Baseball Game Preview: Forest City Indians vs. Lake Mills Bulldogs

Forest City is 8-2 against Lake Mills since July of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Indians will take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Forest City's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Lake Mills' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Forest City proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Bishop Garrigan 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since June 13th.

Meanwhile, Lake Mills came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Bison. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Lake Mills pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Forest City, their victory bumped their record up to 16-4.

Forest City skirted past Lake Mills 1-0 in their previous meeting back in June. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
