Football Game Preview: Providence Christian Academy Storm vs. Commerce Tigers

Providence Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Commerce recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Storm will square off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Providence Christian Academy managed to slip by Oglethorpe County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Storm took a blow against the Patriots on Friday, falling 34-7. The matchup marked the Storm's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Commerce played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Banks County and fell 37-3. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Although Commerce took the loss, they still got scores from Ty Sorrells and Brennan Griffith.

Commerce's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Providence Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Providence Christian Academy was dealt a bruising 55-23 defeat at the hands of Commerce when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Storm avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
