Recap: Tom Bean Tomcats vs. Sam Rayburn Rebels
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bells, the Tom Bean Tomcats were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They slipped by Sam Rayburn 43-42. This was payback for Tom Bean, who suffered a 46-44 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Allie Hickman was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Tom Bean's points. Another player making a difference was Samantha Lind, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Tom Bean's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Sam Rayburn, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Tom Bean will head out on the road to face off against Celeste at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Celeste is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Sam Rayburn, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Trenton at 6:30 p.m. Trenton is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
