Bulloch Academy extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Akiryon Watkins. The Gators came out on top against the John Milledge Academy Trojans by a score of 49-38 on Tuesday thanks in part to Watkins, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 20 boards. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points.

Another player making a difference was JB Roach, who posted 14 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Despite the loss, John Milledge Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Abe Gainous almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Luke Elliott was another key player, putting up six points along with eight boards and three steals.

Bulloch Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for John Milledge Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Bulloch Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Statesboro at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for John Milledge Academy, they will face off against Brentwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
