Football Game Preview: Patterson Clippers vs. Poly Engineers

The Patterson Clippers will square off against the Poly Engineers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Patterson has given up an average of 31.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Patterson's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Forest Park on Thursday. They took a blow against the Foresters, falling 40-0. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Clippers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Poly). They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 57-0 win over Douglass. The high-scoring effort was just what the Engineers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

With the victory, Poly broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3. As for Patterson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
