Flag Football Game Preview: San Ramon Valley Wolves vs. Monte Vista Mustangs

San Ramon Valley has gone a perfect 6-0 against Monte Vista recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. San Ramon Valley's defense has only allowed 6.9 points per game this season, so Monte Vista's offense will have their work cut out for them.

San Ramon Valley's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 39-0 victory over Oakland Tech. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their six-point performance the game before.

San Ramon Valley can attribute much of their success to Gia Ryan, who threw for 127 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 30 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards Ryan has posted since back in September. Tatum Prindiville was in the mix as well, providing San Ramon Valley with two scores.

San Ramon Valley's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Molly Hess was especially locked on to Oakland Tech's QB and sacked her twice.

Monte Vista fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 26-14 victory over Dougherty Valley on Thursday.

San Ramon Valley's record now sits at 11-4. As for Monte Vista, their record is now 6-13.

Everything came up roses for San Ramon Valley against Monte Vista when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 38-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
