Basketball Recap: Jasah Mcintosh's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ganado over Chinle

Ganado played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 56-30 to the Chinle Wildcats. The game marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jasah McIntosh, who posted ten points along with six boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Shawntaya Smith, who put up three points and six rebounds.

Chinle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Lynch led the charge by going 5-for-10 on her way to 11 points and three steals. Dizhoon White was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine boards.

Ganado's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Chinle, they pushed their record up to 26-1 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Ganado and Chinle will both be playing Tuba City the next time they take the court. Chinle will host Tuba City at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Ganado will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
