Basketball Recap: Saranac Has No Trouble Against Peru

Saranac won the last time they faced Peru and things went their way on Friday too. The Saranac Spartans took down the Peru Nighthawks 55-41. That looming 55-41 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Spartans yet this season.

When it comes to explaining why Peru lost, don't look at Jordan Osborne. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 14 on his way to 12 points and four steals. Osborne is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Sweeney, who posted six points.

The win got Saranac back to even at 3-3. As for Peru, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Saranac wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-41 loss against Beekmantown on the 28th. As for Peru, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-30 defeat against Franklin Academy on the 28th.
