Softball Recap: Mashpee Comes Up Short

Mashpee lost to Dennis-Yarmouth Regional last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons lost 20-8 to the Dolphins.

Misqua Strickland stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was her first of the season. Tess Provencher was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Mashpee's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Mashpee will venture away from home to challenge Nashoba Valley Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, they will welcome Carver at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
