The Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves will take on the New Roads Jaguars at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Wiseburn- Da Vinci is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Wiseburn- Da Vinci made easy work of Shalhevet and carried off a 13-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Firehawks: they've now won three in a row.
Nathaniel Buendia looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Wiseburn- Da Vinci let Peyton Tate and Adan Barbosa run wild. Tate got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs, while Barbosa fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave Tate a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Beckett Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Wiseburn- Da Vinci kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, New Roads had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Panthers.
The team relied heavily on Elio LaPorta, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one run.
New Roads' victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Wiseburn- Da Vinci has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like New Roads struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Wiseburn- Da Vinci's way against New Roads in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Wiseburn- Da Vinci made off with an 8-2 win. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
