Baseball Game Preview: Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders vs. Woodbine Tigers

Coon Rapids-Bayard has gone 8-2 against Woodbine recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Crusaders will be playing at home against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Woodbine will be up against a hot Coon Rapids-Bayard team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Crusaders walked away with a 10-7 win over Lenox on Friday. Ten seems to be a good number for the Crusaders as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodbine). They put the hurt on Westwood with a sharp 12-2 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won three in a row.

Woodbine's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Coon Rapids-Bayard, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Coon Rapids-Bayard came out on top in a nail-biter against Woodbine in their previous matchup back in June of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
