Basketball Recap: Democracy Prep Takes a Loss

Democracy Prep lost against Brandeis last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Democracy Prep Dragons were dealt a 63-25 defeat at the hands of the Brandeis Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 60th).

Democracy Prep's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Brandeis, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Democracy Prep will face off against Washington at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brandeis, they will square off against Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brandeis is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Roosevelt a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
