Basketball Recap: Oakdale Comes Up Short

Oakdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 47-35 to the Rockwood Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent loss being a 50-43 defeat two weeks ago.

Jayden Davidson was a one-man wrecking crew for Rockwood as he almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave Davidson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Collin Abston, who posted six points along with seven boards and five assists.

Oakdale's loss dropped their record down to 2-24. As for Rockwood, their victory bumped their record up to 8-18.

Coming up, Oakdale will host Wartburg Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rockwood, they will take on Jellico at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
