Laurel had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They walked away with  a   14-7  victory over the Neshannock Lancers. The 14-point effort marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring  matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
 Laurel had a senior duo take command as  Kolton Carlson gained 154 total yards and a touchdown and  Nathan Hill rushed for 83 yards and one  touchdown. Carlson also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  picking up  a  sack and making six total tackles.
Laurel's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Neshannock, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 6-3.
 Looking ahead, Laurel will host Jefferson-Morgan  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Neshannock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
