Preview: Mars vs. Highlands
This week, Highlands (2-1) faces off against Mars (3-1) on Friday at 7:00 PM. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous games.
Last week, Highlands took on Knoch. Highlands's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 21 points in the first half. That put it at a 21 - 14 advantage. The defense contributed as well, holding Knoch to two points in the second half. That ultimately gave them a 24 - 16 win.
As for Mars, it claimed a 26 - 15 victory over Montour last week. No one had a larger role in the success than freshman Teddy Ruffner, who brought his A game into the contest. He ran for 97 yards and also punched in one touchdown.
