Football Recap: Lincoln Park Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Lincoln Park was feeling good fresh off their 42-0 takedown of Edsel Ford last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Railsplitters came up short against the Carlson Marauders on Friday, falling 59-36. While losing is never fun, the Railsplitters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Marauders are ranked 55th).

Izaiah Wright was his usual excellent self, rushing for 201 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per carry for Carlson. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Wright a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Trent Ison, who rushed for 61 yards and one score.

Lincoln Park's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Carlson, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lincoln Park is set to challenge their familiar foe Trenton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Carlson will face off against rival Allen Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
