Mason had already won 12 in a row and they went ahead and made it 13 on Monday. Everything went their way against the Sycamore Aviators as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Comets also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Mason won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-22.

Lainey Tilton and Caroline Shomo certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Tilton had 13 digs, while Shomo had two blocks and two aces. Tilton is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Mason's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Sycamore, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.

Mason and Sycamore should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Comets (ranked 14th) will meet Lakota West (ranked 85th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sycamore will face off against Middletown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (81 vs. 523).
