Recap: Viewpoint Patriots vs. Hoover Tornados
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rio Hondo Prep, The Viewpoint Patriots were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 21-13 victory over Hoover.
Seth Forrester was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Ololade Adeduro was another key contributor, rushing for 58 yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Hoover still got an impressive performance from Ethan Davis, who threw for 159 yards and a touchdown.
Viewpoint has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Hoover, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Viewpoint will face off against Brentwood School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brentwood School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Viewpoint likes a good challenge. As for Hoover, they will head out on the road to face off against Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glendale is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
