Softball Recap: Porter Comes Up Short

Porter came into this matchup off a tough seven-run defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Hargrave Falcons by a score of 5-3 on Friday. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Porter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hargrave, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Porter wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against Caney Creek on the 13th. As for Hargrave, they are taking a road trip to face off against Tuloso-Midway at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Warriors & Cherokees' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
