Basketball Recap: Letchworth Beats Wayland-Cohocton for Their Third Straight Win

Letchworth put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles, sneaking past 39-36. For the Legends , this counts as revenge for the 35-31 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Wayland-Cohocton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Charles Mulford, who posted four points along with eight boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Hanggi, who put up 13 points.

Letchworth's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Wayland-Cohocton, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Letchworth will venture away from home to challenge Mount Morris at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th. As for Wayland-Cohocton, they will head out on the road to square off against Dansville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
