Service put another one in the bag  on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by  a  15-7 margin over the Soldotna Stars. Considering the Cougars have won three matches by more than six  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Landon Martindale and  Rilen Niclai made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Martindale   tossed two innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   three  hits. Meanwhile,  Niclai   tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. At the plate,  Martindale  went 4-for-5 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  RBI, while  Niclai  went 1-for-4 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI. That's the most  runs  Martindale has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Sebastian Fournier was  incredible,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with four  stolen bases and three  runs. He continues to improve, besting his previous  run total in each of the last three games he's  played.  Palmer Dalton also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
Service pushed their record up to 4-0 with the  victory, which was their 11th straight  on the road dating back to last season. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Soldotna,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-6-1.
 Service didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  6-2  victory against Colony on the 24th. As for Soldotna, they have also already played their next contest,  a  4-1  win against West Valley on the 24th.
