Basketball Recap: Stevenson Comes Up Short

Stevenson lost against Wings Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Stevenson Ambassadors took a hard 69-54 fall against the Wings Academy Wings. While losing is never fun, the Ambassadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 521st, while the Wings are ranked 191st).

It was another big night for Rushawn Greene, who went 10 for 14 on his way to 30 points along with six assists and five boards for Wings Academy. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Jimbo, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Stevenson's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-15. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Wings Academy, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

As of now, neither Stevenson nor Wings Academy have any future games scheduled.
