Palmyra put another one in the bag  on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gettysburg Warriors, sneaking past  4-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  4-3  back in April.
 Jonathan Strohecker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Alex Dorta and  Aiden Willard did most of the damage at the plate:  Dorta  went 3-for-4 with one  triple and one  run, while  Willard  went 1-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  three  hits gave  Dorta a new career-high.
Palmyra pushed their record up to 19-0 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  on the road dating back to last season. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Gettysburg, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Palmyra is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Red Land  at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Gettysburg will  take on  rival Lower Dauphin  at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Warriors 3.9, the Falcons 3.2) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
