Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Takes a Loss

Cornerstone Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Torrington Christian Academy and fell 45-17. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Torrington Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-20 back in January.

Sarena Doot was the offensive standout of the matchup as she went 8-for-15 en route to 16 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Maddie Sattazahn, who posted six points and three steals.

Cornerstone Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Torrington Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Cornerstone Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Torrington Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-37 win against Varsity Opponent on the 12th.
