Baseball Recap: Northridge Has No Trouble Against Weber

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fremont, Northridge was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Weber Warriors 12-3. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Trevin Redd made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Redd was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Ryan Small was a standout: he scored a run while going 3-for-5. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Parker Jeppson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

Northridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Northridge is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. Weber's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coming up, Northridge will take on Syracuse at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Weber, they will face off against Roy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
