Basketball Recap: Calhoun Tigers vs. Red Level Tigers
The Calhoun Tigers waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They walked away with a 66-54 victory over Red Level.
Calhoun got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Robertson out in front who scored 14 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Brenterris Managan was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Red Level still got an impressive performance from Javen Poindexter, who scored 29 points. That was a full 53.7% of Red Level's points, marking the 20th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Calhoun has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Red Level, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.
Calhoun will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. As for Red Level, they will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
