Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Forest Grove's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

While Forest Grove put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Newberg. The Vikings put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 7-0 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Forest Grove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Newberg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Forest Grove and Newberg will both be playing Century the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Vikings will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
