Softball Recap: Hollidaysburg Takes a Loss

Hollidaysburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Huntingdon Bearcats. If the Golden Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 6-5 to the Bearcats when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hollidaysburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Hicks, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Hollidaysburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Huntingdon, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hollidaysburg is set to face off against their familiar foe Bellwood-Antis at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Huntingdon will take on rival Philipsburg-Osceola at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bearcats 2.9, the Mountaineers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
