Softball Game Preview: Justin-Siena Braves vs. Vintage Crushers

Justin-Siena is 0-10 against Vintage since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Braves will head out on the road to face off against the Crushers at 4:00 p.m. Justin-Siena has given up an average of 15.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Justin-Siena is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 18-5 to Sonoma Valley.

Caiden Grimmer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilah Fern, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Vintage and Petaluma, and Petaluma kept the tradition alive. The Crushers fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday.

Vintage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abygail Sims, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Vintage's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4. As for Justin-Siena, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Justin-Siena might still be hurting after the 25-0 loss they got from Vintage when the teams last played back in March. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
