Softball Recap: Lancaster Has No Trouble Against River Ridge

Lancaster won the last time they faced River Ridge and things went their way on Thursday too. The Flying Arrows blew past the Timberwolves 12-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Flying Arrows.

Lilian Edge made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Edge was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two).

In other batting news, Amelia Johnsen was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aleah Jackering, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lancaster has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for River Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Lancaster wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-9 loss against Potosi/Cassville on the 4th. As for River Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-5 win against Wauzeka-Steuben on the 4th.
