Basketball Recap: Joseph Carbo Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Belle Chasse

Hammond won against Mandeville last Tuesday with 46 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Hammond Tornadoes came out on top against the Belle Chasse Cardinals by a score of 46-37. The Tornadoes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Hammond's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joseph Carbo, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 10 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Harland, who posted ten points and four steals.

The win made it two in a row for Hammond and bumps their season record up to 14-5. As for Belle Chasse, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.

Hammond won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Paul's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Belle Chasse, they will face off against Wright at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wright has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 216 points over their last three games.
